In todays fast moving world with so much info coming through the internet at lightning speeds it may be hard to find a legitimate locksmith.  Now depending on what state you live in there may or may not be licensing.  In most States that require licensing they also require background checks and fingerprinting.

In some states this is not required, it is up to the company to screen each locksmith.  You should know who is coming to your door in any security related transaction.  Seeing that a locksmith can gain access to most anywhere it is very important that the company knows who they are training and the customer also knows they are safe.

Simply ask these questions:

Are all your locksmiths screened?

Do you offer quotes or hourly service rates only?

Do you have any general pricing?
